11 Bayesian Modeling Fundamentals

This module is based on Bayes Rules! (Johnson, Ott, Dogucu), Chapters 1 and 2. You can access the book for free at https://www.bayesrulesbook.com/.

The book is extremely readable, so I have not written any notes for this module.

11.1 Introduction

Chapter 1 provides a brief history of the Bayesian philosophy of probability, as well as a big picture overview of the philosophy and how it is used in real life.

Chapter 2 provides the framework associated with Bayes modeling. A lot of the ideas were covered in Module 2, although some terminology that is associated with Bayes modeling is used instead.
